Can hear Attenborough's voice all through this! Edited by SnapperKain (19 Mar 2023 9.35pm)
The trouble with computers, of course, is that they're very sophisticated idiots |

I have the app but didn't watch it. I was genuinely disappointed and pretty angry with the whole idea. Stay up and do it - not now.

Yes it is cringeworthy. Wouldn't be so bad if we turned in a performance of style. Anyway, tracksuits/sportswear is not exactly stylish is it. The only player who shows a bit of originality in his choice of clothes is Andersen.

Spot on, what the f**k are they thinking? They think you're stupid, shallow, easily influenced, and that they can monetise your blind, unquestioning loyalty with ease, whenever they want to. In short, they think you want to be like Edsonne, even though Edsonne is s***.
Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God. |

As I once commented on the post 'Arriving in style, leaving with their tail between their legs' Syd is correct in that they think because you are a fan that you are stupid and easily influenced. All designed to make you love Palace more and hopefully part with some more of your hard earned cash on the Palace online shop. Maybe this works with younger supporters. I expect those of us over a certain age who have little much of our lives without social media and being blighted by internet selling, see through it for what it is. I would much rather a statement from our illustrious Chairman along the lines of that it's been a difficult season, the Board realise that they have made mistakes etc and they are striving to get this correct and appreciate the fans and can they get behind the team, blah, blah, blah. Possibly more corporate bull, but at least trying to show that they are in touch with the fans. Unfortunately it seems our Chairman now only posts when we have won or drawn against one of the big boys. Despite all the social media, the board seems as distanced from the fans and caring about them as it ever has. Originally posted by sydtheeagle

It comes across to me as a smokescreen distraction, or a very poor attempt at one, and that is what infuriates most. Last season I get it, I was inclined to even feign enthusiasm or buy in to it but this season it elicits a 'shut the f**k up' reaction from me, as I gather it does for many others. I'm inclined to believe the individual(s) behind this are under the age of about 24. I always consider myself to be one of the younger posters on here but even I feel like hurling my hearing aid and furiously shaking my walking stick at them. It's beginning to come across as audacious mockery of the fanbase more than anything else.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Yes same here. It's almost insulting. I am 56, so been a Palace fan for around half a century. I didn't have kids until a little later in life (due to settling down late and wife being 13 years younger). Son is now 14 and has followed Dad in supporting Palace and of course is far more social media savvy than me. But even he finds these posts annoying, especially when the team are doing so badly. Here look at the millionaire footballers arriving in their flash cars and look at their (generally) poor taste in clothes, before they get another beating and drive home having earned a years salary this week. If it was on TV, I'd be throwing my fluffy lined slippers at it! Originally posted by Nicholas91

Move over David Attenborough!
