That's a little hard to avoid.

That is what one would probably call unconscious bias or a Freudian slip.

Two facts.

If he doesn't want to answer there should be a compelling reason

The 2nd point is quite simple.

He has offered SG a job - she has yet to start.

It is for SG to inform her current employer, not Starmer, therefore he refused to get involved.

Incidentally i speak to many people and often say let me know if/when you are interested in discussing a new job/role.
I'm just putting an idea out there - it is not a formal job offer.
I suspect it only got serious when Case blocked her for a senior role a few weeks back.

This is obviously dodgy.

You don't resign from one job and immediately start another unless it was agreed beforehand.

We lost an elected Prime Minister because of his so called dishonesty, and yet the very opposition who cheered that on are already showing their colours.

It doesn't matter if this woman was actually neutral or not. It is the principle that has to be seen to be upheld.

Labour are pissing on that and hoping no one will notice because of the Matt Handcock effect.

She hasn't started or even accepted a new job. At present she has been offered a new job. If she accepts it she will need to work gardening leave.

Not sure how this is different from (now Lord) David Frost being appointed by Johnson's govt

Knocked his missus about and groped a few aides?

On the topic; it's so obvious Starmer has approached SG before she finished the report and that interview trying to avoid that reality is the sort of crap which would fit right in with the current government - a poor politician who's only principle seems to be getting elected.

I watched him on the Chase last night. He won his round but didn't win anything ultimately.

In my opinion he was blatantly lying which nowadays is par for the course for all politicians. Facial expression and repeatedly refusing to answer the question re Sue Grey original contact re job says it all.

Pathetic stance by Starmer. A weak woke.

But as a Senior Civil Servant she should be totally impartial, politically-wise, , wasshe?. She was duty bound to have reported any contact, which she did not comply with. I wonder what Labour would say if the boot was on the other foot?
