Do Palace have any aspiration beyond avoiding relegation for another year?

I'd say that for a club of our size, you need a healthy balance of both young and old.

A decent striker is hard find, so resorting to a short term solution like Giroud is fine with me. we've Tried the buy young and improve them tactic with OE and JPM, and so fair it hasn't born any fruit. we need a proven striker now. it will also give us time to keep looking/developing our own to replace him.

Giroud only knows how to score against Palace, not the other way round.

He would probably blast the ball into our own net out of force of habit.

Yes, I'd have him too. Previously we did alright with Kevin Phillips.

We might as well close this thread as Willo has asserted that he isn't coming

For the sake of sanity and will to live I think we should all at least entertain that possibility.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Given that the current policy is for acquiring younger players and players with potential it would be somewhat astonishing if we were to sign a player who will be approaching 37.

I am confident in predicting that he will not be seen in our colours next season.

So would I. We will lose Zaha, Luka, Jairo(?) and possibly Tomkins in the summer. This will release a lot of wages, Giroud will be free transfer so we should be able to vover wages. He is exactly what we need proven goal scorer and experienced
