I heard we are bringing in 3 strikers today…

Nurse
Railway worker &
Ambulance Driver

Little bit of humour to brighten the day …. :-)

I've forgotten what a striker looks like. Last actual one was Murray.
They look the opposite of Sanogo I guess.

Murray. Another striker who wasn't good at first but thrived when the main man. I'm telling you. Give either Mateta or Edouard 15 consecutive games, at the end both have 5-8 goals and are transformed in terms of their contribution. And believed in

To me it’s a mixture of poor service from our midfield and failure to read where to be at the right time. I’m afraid that is something only natural strikers can do and I don’t think either of them fall into that category. I believe they are both reasonable players but I don’t see them as true 9’s.

Eduoard isn't one to lead the line. He's better coming from deeper running with or onto the ball. A bit like a forward Eze.

I've hinted at this before and it may upset diehard Zaha fans, but he is one reason why things don't work. Too greedy, never looks up at the simple pass but prefers to go for personal glory by cutting inside and popping off a scuffed shot. Sometimes it'll work and we'll hear how great he is, but most of the time (this season in particular) possession is ceded. The striker is confused, should he make a run to the near post, step back and make a yard of space, what is Zaha going to do? It must be difficult playing alongside him and trying to second guess. This applies to Mitchell also, who finds himself in a similar predicament: support the attack, overlap, will the pass arrive?

Spot on!
Have seen Mitchell on a number of occasions trying to work out where he should be when Wilf has the ball. When he doesn't read Wilf's mind (and who can?) he gets an annoyed reaction from Zaha if he's made the wrong decision. ON the few occasions they have worked well together in attack it's resulted in either a goal or a good scoring chance.

Tbf if they don’t know what they are doing, the defence has got no chance.

Must say I've always fancied Edouard as an inside left. Zaha being out for a spell could be very interesting. Maybe a chance for Mateta too. No point trying too hard to make Wilf happy now anyway when he's back from injury (from a purely playing PoV).

I find Edouard barely effective on the left. Would be ecstatic to be proved wrong.

I've said this myself a few times and I think that an occasional worldy is worth less than a regular CHANCE of a goal

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).
