Absolutely terrible decision making. Hughes made such a difference midweek and now lightweight schlupp back in. Eze for mateta makes sense

Also, its probably gone back to 4-3-3, what a plonker

I get the feeling he's trying to look clever with these silly decisions so on the off chance we get a result he can say I told you so. That's all I can think of. Its the only reason for someone being that feckin stupid.

Shame not to see Hughes starting but I get the impression, no more than that, that his stamina is not the best. Odd to see Olise on the bench but some rotation is probably necessary to protect our younger creative players. As fans we rarely know who is carrying a slight niggle or who’s energy levels are flagging.

Is it too early to starting singing you don’t know what you’re doing…or should it be held back til PV strolls out to take his seat for the first half?

I wouldn't blame Hughes if he started the chant

Hughes dropped in favour of Schlupp... Wow.. I genuinely think Vieira and Schlupp have something going on... Whenever Hughes gets a start, no matter how well he plays he always gets dropped for that useless lump.

Agree. Supposedly got an assist against ManUre on FPL, lol, which gives him that in 20 games this season in 1412 minutes. So not on for an attacking option, so must be his defensive duties, which as you say is he a better option than Hughes in that dept ? Reminds me of the Puncheon days under Pards. Anyway barring this let's hope for a similar display from the second half on Weds night. COYP !!

What has Hughes got to do to get a run? Beyond belief decision 😳

I was sure we had seen the last of Schlupp in the starting line-up. It worked perfect with Hughes vs United and Schlupp coming on for the last 20 min. But starting with that "no-brain" footballer in the middle of the park?
What is wrong with the gaffer?
