Lay off the crack pipe please. Probably the worst suggestion I have ever seen on this site.

Don't touch with a barge pole. He's completely lost it I'm afraid. Two failed moves since Spurs where the teams had the same hope to turn around his career.

If we have any money, and that's a big IF, we certainly shouldn't be wasting it on him. We've already got a few passengers in the squad.

He appears as someone who has " got his" ie he has achieved
enough wealth to live happily for the rest of his life.
Now totally lacking in drive and ambition. Cannot believe
anybody would want him at Palace.

I find it unfathomable that a player can just give up although to all outward appearances, that is what has happened here.

Personally, I would pay him a very very low wage, good bonuses, no guarantee of minutes, and contractually require him to do several sessions a week with a good psychologist*.

Maybe he gave up, or maybe he just lost his way. And if we help him find it, we win and he wins. It wasn't that long ago that he was perceived as a shining light of the game.

*My guess, tho, is that there is easier money and he'll chase that

No fecking way.

At most, you'd take him on a couple of weeks trial in pre-season to see what he is all about.

No.

It seems quite obvious now he has no desire to really play football anymore. Let go by Spurs, let go on loan by Everton, and now being subbed off early for beskitas.

A perfect example of having too much too soon can ruin you.

Plus, I don't think he ever got over not being allowed to leave for Real Madrid

Perhaps a move back to London could be just the tonic he needs and could 'Kick start' his career.
It could prove to be a very shrewd acquisition.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Indeed as a footballer he has lost his way and might never get back on track.

In his first two seasons at Tottenham he made 70 apps in the PL and scored 28 goals.Since then has made about 120 PL apps (Over 5 seasons) and scored 23 goals.

So loads more than our strikers. Put him up front.

My comment apropos Dele Alli was just a fleeting thought that entered the cerebral matter of an intellectual vacuum.
