Telegraph reporting tonight that Newcastle are in for him and suggest he’d be happy to make the move based on his lack of playing time at Man Utd.
It’s also reporting that they are making a triple bid for Gallagher, Zyech and RLC.
It may be Newcastle are after a combination of these to strengthen their push for a Champions League place.
I can’t stand the way Newcastle operate and I can assure you it’s not jealousy.
It sums up everything that’s wrong with the Premier League.
While Parish may have his flaws, I would hate us to follow the Newcastle model and it wouldn’t surprise me if Newcastle eventually push to be a member of the ‘Super League.’
Back on topic, I do suspect there will be transfers in the next week with outgoings from Chelsea if they continue their spending spree.

This, exactly, though it's not just Newcastle. The PL simply does not exist to provide legitimate competition and it's reaching a point where my interest will wane to the extent that it will disappear completely until or unless we return to the Championship and competitive football is on offer again. The PL is little more than a sickening charade run to fuel the egos of billionaires.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

Whilst the Championship is more competitive than the PL, there's still the financial advantages of the those teams relegated from the PL who have been wise with the way they have used their PL incomes. Increasingly, we are seeing relegated teams making it back up to the PL either next season or within a couple of years or so. Fulham and Norwich have been classic examples of this in recent years with Burnley not far behind judging by their performances this season. Sheffield Utd are also well placed to make a relatively quick return.

Of course, those clubs who threw money at trying to stay in the PL or otherwise frittered away their resources and got into serious trouble continued down to League 1 after their relegation from the PL.

The growing inequality between clubs in the Championship is another reason why PL spending etc. needs to be capped before it's too late.
