Telegraph reporting tonight that Newcastle are in for him and suggest he’d be happy to make the move based on his lack of playing time at Man Utd.

Of course, those clubs who threw money at trying to stay in the PL or otherwise frittered away their resources and got into serious trouble continued down to League 1 after their relegation from the PL. The growing inequality between clubs in the Championship is another reason why PL spending etc. needs to be capped before it's too late.
