My only worry is the potential lack of new blood in 2023 and WHU are possibly fairly safe but Bournemouth are running backwards at the moment

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

West Ham have lost 6 on the trot and are out of the zone on GD. Hardly "safe"

In general I find goal difference to be pretty good indicator. Any of the teams hitting midseason with a goal difference of -15 or worse should be worried.

Very true.

They’re an almost entirely different proposition without George Michael.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I saw a couple of articles yesterday saying that Forest have not been entirely happy with some of the players that they bought in the summer & some will be let go to freshen the squad - Emmanual Dennis they got in from Watford for about 15m was one that was named, I remember that he made a big impact when joining Watford originally but seemed to fade fast, but it also said that as he has already played for both Watford & Forest this season he could only play for an overseas club (unless a club in the UK bought him on the understanding that he couldn't be registered in the squad until next season)

Now this is a case where if (for example) we wanted him John Texter's arrangement would actually be beneficial, Eagle group could buy him & Dennis could play in one of the other teams for the remainder of the year -

Current EPL table 'as it stands' incl last nights result . . . [Link]

On the RHS is form, & we are 7th equal, so, all in all, not in such a bad place after all. I also agree that current bottom 3 are faves to go, tho as someone has already elluded to, someone usually fights like mad to get relegated, round about Easter time.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Much too early to say. We could easily fall into the mix, we are not playing well, we are very reliant on a core group of players, we don't appear to have money for reinforcements. A number of the teams below us have talked of strengthening and a few teams (Forest for example) look like they are improving.

Yes, we're a mid-table team, but a run of bad luck could change all that.

Our wins this season against Leeds,Wolves,West Ham,Southampton and Bournemouth have all been against teams who are hardly setting the table alight.

Our next 4 games are against Tottenham,Chelsea,Newcastle and Man Utd.After these games we could well be nearer the relegation zone and peering nervously over our shoulders.

Difficult to see us getting any points from that, though typically Palace we will probably end up with 4 points from those 4 games. Everyone plays everyone twice, that fixture list shows we will have been unfortunate to have played 2 of the big 6 twice.

The strength in depth worries me. But the points on board at the moment is a big plus.
