Always the plan. Qatar was never going to be a good place to get a beer they just said it to get the WC, now 48 hours beforehand FIFA are stuffed.

At least if you get a beer with too much of a head on it they should be happy to lob it off.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Have to hope that the fan zone will not respect WC host's view on alcohol and serve Budweiser at £12.00 per pint on Boxing Day.

Does anyone actually care about this world cup. Rather than being a celebration of football at the end of the season, it's a PR campaign by a corrupt regime in a corrupt regime. Personally I couldn't give a toss

It won't feel like a real World Cup without seeing a large gathering of drunk sun-burned pot-bellied middle-aged men throwing chairs at each other.

At the 11th hour Qatar have banned alcohol from stadiums and the surrounding area. The only place to sell alcohol will in the fan zone in Doha city centre at £12 for 500ml. Budwieser who bought the rights to sell beer tweeted "well this is awkward.." They will now be in line for millions in compensation. Lets hope some bright spark smuggles 1000's of cans in to qatar they will make a killing.

Just when you thought the sh1ttest show on Earth couldn't get any worse. Yet, they manage it somehow. By manage, I mean totally mismanage.
