Surprised no one’s has mentioned early Genesis. Has to be early, because after ‘trick of the tail’ they morphed into a silly pop group.
Best early album………..Foxtrot.[/quote
Wind and Wuthering was OK, then they became Phil Collins and his backing band

Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Genesis - Nursery Crymes
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of The Moon, has to be the most played.
Supertramp - Famous Last Words
Metallica - the Black Album
Rush - Farewell to Kings
Yes - 90125
Deep Purple - Machine Head
ELO - Time
Fleetwood Mac - Behind The Mask
MeatLoaf - The Razors Edge
Led Zeppelin - the first one

I never really rated The Who, the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Eric Clapton or Queen.

AC/DC Back in Black Brian Johnson is a great singer and even after fronting one of the greatest albums of all time, some consider him to be eternally in Bon Scott's shadow. Brian is the greatest.

Have you watched SAS Rogue Heroes FH? Fabulous soundtrack includes plenty of AC/DC, also some Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Motorhead and The Stranglers.

Brilliant story of heroic deeds enhanced by some terrific music. Imagine you'd love it.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

The series is pretty good but Ben McIntyre's original was better. Some of the archive interviews with surviving originals are very moving - only Mike Saddler is left. He's 102.

Wash your mouth out, Bon Scott is a legend, saw him in Nov 79, 3 months before he died, Back in Black as good as it is, was the last of their good albums, Highway to Hell and Let there be rock, in my opinion the best two, RIP Bon

I too was lucky enough to see Bon Scott fronting AC/DC in 79 and also Paul Di'Anno fronting Iron Maiden at the Ruskin Arms same year, however I would put Brian Johnson and Bruce Dickinson in the same boat in that they were both excellent replacements of each band with both having made their own footprint..........oh and add RJD to the group when he replaced Ozzy in Black Sabbath.....
