I forget I had an Orion. Crystal white with grey seats with red piping. I used to hire an Orion when I went on holiday to Greece. I think it was a Ford Escort with a boot. There was also a Sierra model with a boot but it was still called a Sierra. A four or five door if you had the hatchback. By this time I'd moved on to Vauxhalls. Back in the day (mid-90s?) I was entitled to a company car. To keep the tax bill down, I chose a Fiesta. I'm hopeless with car variants, apart from the Cortina where my Dad over time owned each successive mark of the 'Dagenham Dustbin', but it was the one that was basically the same car as a Mazda (the Mazda 111 springs to mind). I collected it from a main dealer and drove it to about half a mile from home when it conked out as I climbed the steep hill from Barnehurst to Northumberland Heath. I got out and saw the entire contents of the fuel tank flowing down the road towards Bursted Woods pitch and putt course. Recovery - and the Fire Brigade - duly arrived, and the car was taken away on the back of a transporter. I collected it from the main dealer for the second time about a week later and got home OK. Then on the Saturday I drove it to the Palace game at Selhurst. I can't remember the oppo, but I know we lost. Then, not long into my journey home and in one of the nondescript South London high streets, the same as before happened. Car ground to a halt on double yellow lines near a crossing....petrol all over the road....angry Palace fans struggling to get past. Found a phone box...recovery....fire brigade...etc. Finally got home about midnight and not a happy bunny. No idea what the problem was. Arrogant I know, but "not my problem anyway" being a company car. Anyway, it didn't happen again and the car was fine thereafter. Well it was fine until I was made redundant about 3 months later!
