I'm gonna say it now Lanzo, at risk of hell, fire and brimstone... but I quite liked Paul Ifill. The fact we nicked him from Millwall enough for me

I agree, we’ve had a lot worse that’s for sure!!

The sad thing is I’m sure I could make up 5 or 6 teams of all the crap players we’ve had in my time

only 5 or 6, you're not trying

palace99 Flag New Mills 12 Oct 22 12.47pm

here's my go

Wilmot

Sparrow, Leif Anderson, Lacy, Burke

Ketteridge, Pennyfather, Kennedy, Mutch

Akinbiyi, Aylott

For me Wilmot only played a few times but the own goal at Southampton was shocking.
Anderson started ok, but got worse with every game. Last games against Leeds in the cup was a disaster.
Burke - just never liked him. Wasn't sure what he offered.
Ketteridge - did well at Wimbledon but just ran around not doing anything for us.
Pennyfather - bought to replace Andy Gray. Shocking
Kennedy - well passed his best when he signed. Reflected a number of bad Taylor signings at that time.
Forwards - could be many, but these 2 never looked like scoring!

I think judging by most posts John Lacy is the worst ever player to have played for Palace, signed by Alan Mullery, the prosecution rests its case

majority on here have listed a team of 11 players who were worst players in individual positions , which is a little bit unfair as a lot of those players were playing in crap teams especially in the mid eighties, but if you are looking at players who were rubbish and extracted the urine by drawing a wage the two that stand out were Brolin and Adebayor

Mick Hill circa 75/76. Surely this poor chap was just kicking his heels outside the Railway Tavern in Thornton Heath when Big Mal stopped in his Rolls and asked if he would wear the number 9 shirt for a bit.

GK - Scott Flinders

Back 4 - Brian Bason, Valerian Ismael, John Lacy, Craig Harrison

Midfield - Stuart Green, David Price, Jordan Mutch, Andy Dorman

Forwards - Tony Mahoney, Chris Jones

But also you could say we were a crap team back in the early to mid 80’s because we had a lot of crap players and we can’t all be wrong because a lot of the same players keep coming up

Christian Benteke's younger brother, Jonathon, must surely feature as one of an 11

God there are a few names I have tried to forget. To be fair picking the team post team of 80’s that flirted with relegation from the old div 2 would probably suffice.
