His injury last season was all shrouded in secrecy and he was out a long time.
I love watching him. He always does the unexpected. Furthermore, I don’t think he is big and strong enough for the top teams, they call it physicality’, so hopefully he may be around for a while.

I beg to differ on that score. He reminds me of Andros in that he will invariably cut inside onto his left foot, which can be easy to read. There was one occasion in Sunday's match where he went outside and in went the cross. He needs to do this more often in order to make him more difficult to predict.

With left foot crosses and dead ball situations, there are few better: deadly when he's on it.

To me he looks slightly nervous of getting tackled, often jumping out the way before a tackle arrives. Undoubtedly a great talent but maybe just needs a bit more confidence that he won't break, which hopefully will come with games. I've said it elsewhere, but I'd also like to see Ebiowei get some game time as he looked a real threat in preseason.

Broadly speaking we now have 3 matchwinners in our starting 11. Zaha, Olise and Eze.

Of course they need to do their bit defensively, and get involved as much as they can with general play. But ultimately we need them to win us games. So we should be a little more accepting if they 'go missing' at times, as long as they deliver when needed.

On Sunday Olise and Zaha grabbed assists and Eze scored the winner, so they are holding up their end of the bargain

I think this is my point. Against Leeds 1st half all 3 went missing. We were lucky not to have been 2 down at half time and the game already lost. If Leeds can do that to us, better teams will do it too.

We did look better in the 2nd half when Olise went right and Zaha got into the game, however, Olise himself did very little in that period until he was subbed, i think the improvement was more down to the centre being beefed up to stop Leeds running the show.

Also worth pointing out it was Ayew who won the freekick for our 1st goal - this part of his game rarely gets any credit.

Eze has 1 goal, he's far from being labelled a match winner.

He's also got 2 assists this season.

But he needs to improve his output, of course he does. PV will know that and Eze will know that. He's got the ability to be a double digit scorer.

My macro point was about the fact that we need to make allowances for the guys who are going to win us games

I think everyone went missing to be fair.

PV will know that this new team selection is a bit of a risk, lots of players who are good in possession. Not many good at winning back possession.

It relies on us getting and holding he ball or periods of time.

IMHO its a bit too adventurous, but I like that he is showing confidence in his team selection.

Exactly, take away his defensive responsibility's, give him a free role, two DMs Jedinak and Digakoi style, and two fullbacks that can overlap, Schlupp/Mitchell and AWB

What would he be doing when the other team are in possession?
Stand around and watch? He does a bit of that already. If anything he has to increase his defensive responsibility, then we may win possession, upon which he can use his talent when he receives the ball.

This might be a bit off the wall but...

I think this season we will struggle but next season, without Wilf, we will be ok...

... Not because we don't need Wilf, he's amazing... but because of balance...

The future is Eze wide left, Olise wide right.. Both players cut in from those positions and a transfer signing tackling midfielder (not Gallagher sadly) as Dacoure badly needs a partner in the midfield engine room.

He would be taking up positions to receive the ball when we regain positions and start an attack instead of being wasted in his own third, are you really that thick

Regain 'possession ' . Not sure you are in a 'position' to start calling people thick.
