As the season goes on the more it seems like central midfield really is where we're short on quality (which is what most of were saying all summer). Chelsea by contrast seem to have three internationals for every position, with about £500m worth of players on the bench alone. I personally hope we go 4-3-3, but perhaps with Ayew up top, as neither Edouard or Mateta have done enough to earn a starting spot and at least Ayew works hard.

i think it's getting our best three attacking players Wilf, Olise and Eze playing with as much freedom and as little defensive responsibly as possible, and i don't think you can do that in a 4-3-3

I'm open to trying Ayew in he middle, we know he's got bags of energy, decent at holding the ball and generally a pretty tidy footballer.

He does fall over a lot , better on the wing out of the way, as moves tend to breakdown as soon as he comes in field.
