Lived my life like a teenager until reaching 50, slowing down quite a lot in recent years(soon to be 63) if I make it until 80 & can as a previous poster suggested, still wipe my own backside I will be happy with that.

That is my benchmark the day I can't do that it's time for Dignitas.

i certainly don't want to live long enough to see Tottenham winning anything.

more important than your actual age, will be your actual State of being.

Women's Polls rated Sean Connery as the sexiest man in Britain when he was truly Ancient. Woody Allen ? not so much.

Look around at all the old feckers you know and try to emulate a role-model. I like Father Jack or that grumpy old cv.nt in 'Succession'.

Kayla did Anfield & Old Trafford

Mother died aged 90, Dad still going strong at 93. I'm 63, 5'8" 10st 4lbs and I run 4 miles in 32 minutes 2 or 3 times a week. With luck I'll live long enough to see Palace one day complete all their transfer activity before a season starts.

Now come on YT, this isn’t a joking matter

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

It sounds idyllic and I doubt a curved ball will come anywhere near lanzarote. My uncle and cousin live there. Hadlums.

Ideally, I’d like to enjoy retirement/ semi retirement and travel more often between the ages of 60-70ish but seeing my parents suffer from such ill health now really makes me think I’d be happy to go quietly when in my late 70’s or early 80’s if in bad health.

Would be sorry to see life go, but if I don't have a choice of time, then just quick and painless. Any time from now.

I currently work in Social Care, and a I see a lot of equipment (beds and hoists) returned, put straight in the skip because it's soiled beyond cleaning. I did all that in my 20's, so anytime before that starts happening again is fine by me

I disengage, I turn the page.

When I was diagnosed with an incurable illness in 2013 I didn't think I'd still be here today.

I'm 75 in 6 weeks time and, thanks to some intensive chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone replacements and 2 bone marrow transplants, managed by a fabulous team of medics, I can still enjoy a whisky, a good laugh and a decent game of football played by my beloved Palace. And even reading the stuff that you wonderful lot contribute on this forum.

Fact is chaps, we all think we're invincible, I certainly did until 9 years ago. I expected to go on for ever, but now, every new day is a bonus.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.
