Slightly off topic but still about Mitchell, he seems to be caught playing very narrow allowing the opp winger acres of space. It could be a deliberate coaching tactic. Has anyone noticed this?

Ward is useless going forward and not left footed. Would much rather see Schlupp at left back. take it you didnt see ward play left back last time he did , he was alot better than you are willing to give credit for , blinkers comes to mind

Ward perhaps written off by many has perhaps surprised quite a few supporters with his performances in the PL in the twilight of his career.

I've noticed this in the U21/18 sides too, although we seem to get away with it. The defender seems to get sucked in leaving the winger acres of room.

Did it under Roy. Both sides. Drives me crazy. Can’t man mark the winger, but at least be in touch.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

It is never a good option to play a right footed player at left back. Are we seriously looking to sign a 3rd right back with no cover at all on the left ?

If this referring to City’s first goal Mitchell was already carrying the knock so didn’t close down as quickly as he had been the whole game beforehand.
