I predict.... Zaha isn't leaving. He will predominantly play as a centre forward. Therefore Benteke's replacement will be a wide player, a la Zaha.

Is this a feint to persuade Bristol that we are shopping elsewhere to keep the price sensible for Semenyo? The price quoted for Sarr is surely too high?

We do want 25- 30 million or so for him having paid something like that for Sarr. Is he worth that? - probably not and of course you have quite a few options out wide. But obviously if on form and with confidence he will be an asset. Edited by Superhorns3 (16 Aug 2022 11.51pm)

Edited by Superhorns3 (16 Aug 2022 11.51pm) Thanks Superhorns I don't see it happening as you suggest he's not worth the money you want kinda like Wilf in reverse.

Official word from Watford is minor hamstring.. Watford saying precautionary.. Hope this one’s got legs. If Sarr is genuinely injured and with Semenyo currently out can’t be both surely. Obviously depends on severity and we signed Olise while injured.

The one thing I wasn't sure about was his end product but I looked it up and he has provided a goal or an assist every 181 minutes (slightly lower at every 216 minutes in the PL - 50 games, 10 goals, 8 assists). Given that his time in the PL with Watford was with a struggling team that's pretty impressive. Personally I think we are ideally set-up for a player with his abilities as we actively encourage our forwards to take players on. The sticking point here will likely be the fee, but proven PL players of his age don't come cheap.
