I absolutely adore Wilf so do my boys who first watched him in a friendly away to Lewis, when they were 4 and 5, he scored 2 that day, Overtaken Ian Wright as my favourite ever Palace player, keeping him for 1 more season even if he does leave on a free, I'll take that, Palace will never again have another one like him.

According to this he's on £120,000 a week. More than RLC and Reece James combined. Must have a good agent.

No , Wilf may have lost some of the magic but fits in nicely with this team , yes Edouard can play in that position , sooner keep him with talent like Eze and Olise than give him away

A big '' No '' here. I think Hudson-Odoi is overrated. Performance wise he seems to heading in the wrong direction and not fulfilling early potential. A fresh start away from Chelsea could be best for him but I sincerely hope it's not with us in exchange for Zaha

When KSA took over at Sandcastle the newspapers were carrying stories that they could spend 210 million without breaching FFP regulations, they only spent something like 120 million so had quite a bit left to speculate with, additionally around the same time the league were saying there was an embargo on stadium naming rights / training ground naming rights / shirt sponsorship etc, etc if there was some feeling that it was from the original owners pocket (I would have to search for the articles to verify that this was completely on point, but it was the general jist of things) anyway recently that embargo was overturned or relaxed, meaning that KSA could for example Name St James Park - Riyadh central if they wanted to so long as the naming rights amount of money was in line with comparable amounts from other clubs- Originally posted by Painter
What are the FFP rules, it doesnt seem to be applied to other Premier teams. I read that the owners of Newcastle are borrowing £140m, despite being worth £256 billion, to get around FFP rules, its quite blatant.

Would rather have a player that's not coming from a bigger club as a marquee signing - it very rarely works out. Think of all the money Liverpool have made from selling basically no-one for years. El-Ghazi and Redmond both have their contract up next year but not too exciting. Trossard's contract is up but that doesn't feel likely. Could perhaps get after someone like Ryan Kent at Rangers but realistically we'd be looking abroad.

To be fair, Chelsea have a history of letting brilliant players go. I have always believed CHO would do well and, for me, he just needs to be the big fish in a smaller pond for a while (and to be a bit luckier with injuries). His neurological stuff seems to have passed and might be our opportunity. I love Wilf. But that's not the point.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

I’d go as far to say we would struggle without Wilf.

It's the main story on the homepage of the club website. Edited by ambrose7 (04 Aug 2022 6.25pm)
