Don't expect high quality toilets, food or beer. Sort yourself before the game. The fanzone isn't bad. Jury's out on the shirts right now.

food?? You’re being very polite Cathedral.

Wonderful - I am sure that the striking rail workers will get the full support of the general travelling public by withdrawing their labour & ensuring everyone is inconvenienced to the max -

Where did you manage to get one for? As a matter of interest what has ‘drawn” you to our family? Hope you enjoy the day

Slightly strange path. I've supported united since I was 4 or 5, shame little me wasn't aware of geography. I asked my mum at some point between maybe 10-14 YO if either her or my dad supported anyone and I basically got a scoff and that both of them hated football so I moved on. Then when I was maybe 20 give or take a few years she dropped into a conversation that she used to go and watch palace every week as a kid in the 70s/80s. Ever since then the love has grown and grown and the last year or 2 I've really fallen in love. Started off as keeping an eye out for the palace score and these days I watch 90% of games.

One other consideration; if you watch in the Arthur and the sun is shining, bad luck, you'll get millions of lumens making the spectacle really uncomfortable.

Don't go to the Sainsbury's end - boring. I personally find the Arthur is better than the main stand atmosphere wise. I remember getting told off for shouting in the Main Stand. My answer wasn't too nice. Admittedly, I'm the loudest person in the world.
If you can get Holmesdale you'll like it. So Arthur or Holmesdale - but, as said, eat and drink before you go - although the fanzone is ok an hour or two before the match.
The tip at Palace is - go to the loo, which you will inevitably need, before half time. Do not attempt to eat, drink or go to the loo at half time. You have been warned.

Don't listen to the naysayers...it is possible to wait for the half time whistle, go for a pee, and get back in time for the second half... I have managed it twice since 1976

I beg to differ, we have to deal with the away fans abuse, while the rest of you give it the biggun from the safety of the holmesdale

Re kit sizing. It changes with the manufacturer so I tend to try before buying.

I suppose if you want the authentic experience you should try the loos, drink and food at half time in the Arthur. Will certainly be an experience for a Selhurst virgin.
