I've just seen Benteke score a goal instead of smashing the windscreen of one of the parked cars at the side of the pitch.

Don't worry there is time yet, he already missed a sitter.

Doucoure looks to be a force. He set up the second goal with an interception and really good pass through to Benteke. He may have also been involved in the first.

I know it's only Ipswich, but he does look strong, composed and with an eye for a pass.

Plange did more in that half than I've seen from Rak-Sakyi in pre-season so far and seems to have a cool head. He looks big (definitely taller than 6'), strong, quick and with good feet.

The defence looks a little ragged the few times it's been put under pressure, but given Guehi is the only senior that's to be expected. Wilf has been poor giving possession away a few times, but this is preseason and he does look like he's taking it easy. Eze once again looking like he's going to shine this season if he stays fit.

Not an especially competitive game but good to see some new faces.

Now we are nearly back to normal he wants to hit a plane rather than cars as they tend to be harder to hit

I guess the subs will now be used. Is Our new goalie ‘Big Sam’ unfit? Shame, because even a 30 minute cameo would be nice.

I am always wary of making judgements on the basis of friendly games, but Plange does have a nice assured look.

Some chappie I spoke to who is aware of the talents of Plange mentioned that he is fleet of foot, he is a good finisher and has the physical strength to hold the ball up, accordingly he displays an array of qualities.
