Very unfair, he played Kalvin Phillips off the park a couple of months back

Gosh, I hope our players don't come here and read some of these brutal, ungrateful and ill-informed rants! JM has been awesome for us consistently over several seasons. He's part of our 'TEAM'. 'Team' means something doesn't it? Surely he's earned a chance to heal and return to form. Surely he's earned some love from CPFC supporters? How would you like to have worked somewhere over several years, get injured, then get sacked? CPFC is his workplace.
Okay, he gets paid silly money as they all do, but you can't question JM's heart for CPFC, surely? Be nice. Be kind. Be human!

I wouldn't word it quite as bluntly as Lanzo-Ad, but I do agree with him. Paying a footballer tens of thousands of pounds a week based on past, loyal (and extremely well-paid) service is economic madness.

And what insider information do you have that proves that ?

Or could it be the case that the Manager and the Chairman value the contribution that Jimmy Mac can make, taking into consideration his age and potential fitness issues ?

With the increased number of players now having to be available for matches, he will have a part to play.

Not in squad today and presumably injured.
Although very good , sadly he can't stay fit.

WTF are you talking about? If you actually read the posts from 3 weeks ago, someone said that he deserves a contract extension based on his past contribution. I agreed with another poster that to pay a player on that basis is madness. I never even mentioned Jimmy Mac. If he does have a valued contribution to make in future, then that's fine; but that's not what I was commenting on.

Oh well, excuse me. The thread was specifically about Jimmy Mac so hence my assumption you were sticking to the subject matter.
