The bad boy just got badder......It was announced on the BBC coverage that he has been charged in his home state in Australia, with assaulting his girlfriend last year.

On a football pitch, kyrgios would seem positively Gentlemanly . Tennis can only benefit from having some player calling the odd referee a c..nt.

If you mean it'd help dislodge it from the grip of the middle class I very much doubt it. What would help would be for existing and new tennis clubs offering free tennis for working class kids with kit available at a discount. Not only would it help tennis but be a great benefit to society in general. Edited by Eaglehamster (07 Jul 2022 1.16pm)

Whatever you think about the bloke's behaviour, and he certainly does throw some tantrums, his tennis right now is brilliant to watch. Just hope Nadal is fit enough for their scheduled semi tomorrow. Should be quite a match.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

I loved his comment in the post-match interview yesterday, when the interviewer mentioned about him not having a coach. His reply - No, I don't have a coach, I wouldn't want to inflict that on anyone, no-one deserves that!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

It looks like he's getting a bye through to the final. Nadal isn't fit enough to play tomorrow, the BBC is saying.
