It's been happening to me too. I get frustrated at the niggly refs and the silly new rules all the time. The refs definitely have either favourites or an agenda is the only explanation I can find for the lack of common sense.
For instance, rugby league - the ref might glance up at the replay, even that is pretty rare, and just award the try. Every try in Union goes to the TMO and that takes 5 minutes. Not to mention every scrum being reset - particularly when one side is playing the clock.
It's ruining what was a decent game. I don't trust World Rugby to fix it either. A fun fact is that World Rugby is based in Dublin.

Half the England games are crash ball followed by kick tennis with interludes for penalties and yellow cards. I'm heavily backing either France (I reckon the pick) or New Zealand (playing fast and countering well) for the World Cup. I reckon England have good players but not a good system anymore.
Hilariously, Ireland have English coaches and are probably better than the sum of their parts. I would double England's chances for the World Cup if they appointed O'Gara. Learnt his trade and doing wonders in France. Also said anyone would want the England job, rather than moaning at England - which is the Irish norm. That is one tough and knowledgeable guy who knows the players too.

Remember the savage beating O'Gara got off the Aussie full back McRae in 2001. Even though things had changed by then it was still a shocking assault.

But no doubt the ref was meticulous in ensuring that all the scrums were tidy.

The one that sticks in my mind was the cynical taking out of O'Driscoll. I seem to remember an Aussie tackling O'Gara over the sidelines and then punching him a few times. Can't remember if anything was done about it at the time. I expect O'Gara mouthed off anyway. He'd be as interesting as Jones in a far less crass way.

That was McRae - held him down and punched him at least 12 times. He got a red card and walked off shrugging as if he didn't know what he'd done.
I remember O'Driscoll getting speared in New Zealand.

Irelands first win in NZ bravo! England doing well 0-16 after 30mins, and I reckon Wales deserve some revenge.

Yes, congratulations to Ireland. Any win in New Zealand is an achievement.
Hope England can keep their heads.

Started really well built a big lead but 60 mins in we're still leading but it's starting to slip away from us.
It's on HesGoal, gonna be a tight finish.

Highlights what England could achieve with a different mind set.

My criticism of Ireland, however, is that about half of them are Irish. Aggressively signed foreign players for the national set up. Good result nonetheless - even though the All Blacks just aren't great at the moment. Ireland could do well at the World Cup - heard that before.
