Hope that little rat fan is identified and banned for life, just like that idiot Forest fan who basically committed a hit and run assault on Billy Sharp. Absolute disgraceful scenes from a club who don’t deserve an ounce of respect when we play them next season.

"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!"

Just looking at the BBC sports app - even trouble Port Vale vs Swindon with crowds on the pitch, the other day that guy assaulted the Sheff Utd player - its almost as though their cant be a high stakes / end of season game without a pitch invasion & the losers being targeted.

It’s seem fair game to run on the pitch and abuse players refs and managers. It needs to stop before someone runs on the pitch Sunday and decks Ronnie.

Wasn’t the fan’s fault. Those nasty Tories made him do it. Egged on by The Sun of course !

I think Everton should get points deducted. Two pitch invasions and abuse to players and staff!

I agree with that , f***ing discraceful if we did that we would have to play without fans for 3 months . One of them could have hasd a knife . what am i saying , they all have knifes . w***ers

the failure to protect our players & squad is a damning indictment of Everton.

i am absolutely amazed that nobody got seriously injured. And imagine if it was one of our key players ?

If a fan runs onto the pitch then any player / coach or official is entitled to lump him in my opinion.

It is illegal to enter the playing area and we have no idea what the intentions of that fan are.

I hope PV does not get charged and fights it if he does. Who knows what the fan was calling him...

Absolutely agree.

If anything were to come of this, I would feel well within my rights to storm a pitch next season and let a few referees and managers know exactly what I think of them in that case.

It's absolute lunacy to think this type of behaviour is acceptable and human beings aren't expected to react when confronted as such.

It's all too similar to the old 'If some scag-head breaks into your home do not bother them, perhaps make them a cup of tea, then call the police and see if they turn up within an hour or two to take action. If he starts to rape, assault or murder you family don't intervene, you'll only get yourself in trouble'

Mike Tyson was right.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

It's easily solved. There should be a 5 game behind closed doors rule for any club whose fans do a mass pitch invasion. All these clubs that did it end of season should get punished fairly sternly if the invasion saw players or staff getting assaulted.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Any team would have done a pitch invasion in this situation, so I accept that. What I do think is that any fan identified as approaching the opposition players or manager should be banned for a period as a signal that you just can't do that.

As it is Vieira shouldn't have reacted, especially given his pre-match talk about Zaha not rising to the goading of opposition players. The fan was a prize tw@t, but you can't really excuse PV's reaction, even if you can understand it. It's still funny though, especially the follow up when some bloke tries to shove Vieira and it's like a toddler pushing a fridge.

The FA/Premier League have been woefully silent on this in recent weeks. Pitch invasion => stadium closure and it'll soon stop.

The fans doing it are complete mugs - the Government allow some leeway on safe standing and then the fans give them every chance to erect fences again.

It's been a bad year for stewarding across the country. Every club gets flares into grounds despite searches, the number of confrontations on the pitch etc.

A player has already been headbutted this week and the FA said nowt. What level of injury are they waiting to occur?
