Correct he played Just William amongst other things. Just read a mini bio like a lot of child actors his starred faded into young adulthood it was John Thaw who rescued him for the Sweeney. Carter was not originally a lead role but Thaw saw something in Carter and got the writers to big up his part. Edited by Badger11 (09 May 2022 7.24am)

A good bloke apparently. He was rather typecast but I saw him in an old episode of Daziel and Pascoe the other day and he was very good as an ex soldier holding people hostage in a pub.

When I heard this news I immediately went to Youtube and watched the theme tune of Minder, for nostalgic purposes. The theme tune reminded me of "time for bed", as I always had to go to bed straight after Minder finished. Sad news.

Minder will always be a favourite. RIP Dennis I've been watching it again recently. Arthur's nephew was a skin head with a swastika tattoo on his head in a recent episode. There's not much of that in comedy these days.

I found him; great Dad [Link] All jokes aside, comedy can be very much of its time, and maybe aside from the likes of Peepshow, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Louie I find it a bit too sanitised and by numbers now. But there is always an ebb and flow and there are some funny podcasts and the like that are no holds barred. Anything short of unfunny actual hatred of others, I can find amusing. I don't really care if its 'offensive' or left or right. I'm also a big fan of comedies that may even seem a bit hokey now, like On The Buses
