I too saw the incident but did not realise the poor old guy wheeled along a while later was injured as a result of the scuffle.
Both party's to the scuffle were all in black (factual, not a dig at any group who to be fair were a stand away), it was relatively short lived and a few of the participants were mingling up to half time. One was chatting to a steward, so my point is CCTV should be able to identify them. A couple of them and I'm choosing my word carefully were acquainted to some law abiding fans.
From reading others it seems there are some factions amongst fans, which we need rid of. Let's start next season on the same side, minus the above. It's a disabled area for christ's sake!
Oh the chant that wasn't the thugs-make of it what you will, but it started elsewhere, albeit close to where the incident occurred.
Hope the fella recovers and returns some time.

makes you wonder if the club will do anything about it. Discussion on two fan msg boards, plus Twitter, plus they'll be well aware of the fella who was badly injured. Tickets are tied to seats, which are tied to names of people whose contact details they should have. And aren't all parts of the ground supposed to be covered by camera?

All the information should be there to deal with this group if the club wants to.

How common/frequent would you say it's become?

Small incidences at every match, more or less. Not 80s style though as yet. If I were to guess, there are a couple of factions within our own, young fans. I heard something about Addo and somewhere else recently.

Ive got a neighbour like that - every time he opens his mouth it drives me nuts, calls everyone his brother & stands on his front patio talking to anyone who happens past, I am not kidding you I know others in our street who look to see of he is out there before going out to the shops etc or walk the other way just to avoid the rubbish patter that comes out of his mouth.

In Dubai? Essex is he?

Hard to beleive, but at the West ham game there was fighting in the Whitehorse... At first we thought it was West ham fans caught sneaking in, but apparently (it was one block across from us) it was between Palace fans. All over quickly with a few being ejected... but still strange to see..

Like others have said. think some folk have come out of lockdown with some very aggressive tendancies..

4 playoff finals, Claridge, Hopkin, Shipperley, Phillips....

This apparent trend has potential to do huge damage to the club.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Yeah we might find ourselves in the conference cause a couple of fans had a fight.

Incidents, however minor, can cause fans to think twice about attending games. Also, if it becomes a regular occurrence an unwanted reputation might be gained. That can encourage more of a certain type of people who would want to live up to that reputation.

Not really, hardly any trouble from our fans, trouble per 1000, we are probably among the best behaved in the country. Last season out of all London clubs only Barnet, Dagenham, Leyton orient, Sutton and Bromley had less arrests than us and they have a 10th of our fan base.

The local trailer park is where he is originally from.
