This is brilliant. I worked as a teaching assistment with special needs kids briefly and some of them had effectively been disowned or bullied and all sorts, but despite that most of these kids were still so pure of heart and excited about the day to day. Brought out the best in others, and it's fantastic when there are community pushes to get them involved. So heartwarming. Well done lads and thanks Geezer for posting this. This is what it's all about...

What an amazing football club we have. I really enjoyed watching that video. The bit about Benteke is hilarious, but he probably won’t appreciate listening back at it.

Brilliant stuff. I can remember early 80's there was an older Down Syndrome man at palace called Leslie, they used to ket him wear the full kit/tracksuit and warm up along the side of the pitch during matches. Everyone near him knew his name and told him he should go on as a sub, very heartwarming stuff.

Christ, mate; what a memory you have. I'd completely forgotten about that, but now I can see it as clear as yesterday.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Incredible...Jairo IS still a Palace player!!

Seriously...what a great video. Genuine affection shown by the Palace squad and staff. You can't stage that.

You can tell he’s been out of the team for a while when his hair has grown about a foot since his last appearance.

Footballers get a bad press at times. This restores my faith . Well done Palace. A day these fantastic kids will never forget.

I stumbled over the video and came here to post a link, then found this thread. The tears are still in my eyes.

What a refreshing thing to watch in these troubled days. The smiles from everyone were so genuine and heart-warming that you just know there is a really close bond there between the group.

The affection that pours out of those with DS can be a bit overwhelming at times, but our boys seemed to be totally at ease and really happy to be making them happy.

I hope it goes viral. It deserves to.

I agree perhaps MOTD should highlight it…. Oh wait we are not a “big club”

Exactly, it's beyond predictable at this point!

We are very proud to be Palace , the look of love and pure trust on their faces is priceless . Did anyone see the bit where Patrick said the kid to tell Benteke he should run quicker , so funny .

"You should should tell him to run a bit more, quicker"

It brings to mind the old saying, "many a true word is said in jest"

Very pleasing to see Palace doing this sort of thing.
