I used to enjoy flying VA. However, just before the pandemic, I flew to Barbados in Feb 2020. BA had a far cheaper flight (several £100's) so we used them. The pandemic struck and all the VA flights were cancelled. There were stories of people having to pay £2500 each for a flight home to UK. I vowed never to use them again as they gave their passengers no assistance whatsoever. We flew back on our scheduled flight on 23rd March 2020.

The more I think about it the more somebody should complain to the advertising standards authority. It is a misleading advert no queues, no cancellations, no crying children that is the real experience the airlines are selling us. And while we are at it somebody should complain about car adverts, smug couple with flash new motor driving on empty roads, yeah right. Where is the bumper to bumper because of cycle lanes, speed bumps ruining your car, arguments with other drivers etc.

I agree, there are no non mixed race marriages so why should they be reflected in advertising. What you don't see in the newer ads is a reflection of all the mixed marriages between white people and non Afro Caribbean partners.Where are all the Indians, pakistanis etc etc or there is a hidden agenda to falsely imply there are certain groups who do not encourage or allow marriages outside their group and god forbid even condone murder of those that do. Back to the Virgin ad, it is up to them what they think will work, in this case it does nothing to make me think Virgin is a better safer airline. Good to see at the end the rumours of Princes's death were false. The new Carling Ad, "It's what Friday nights are for" with the three English lads down the pub watching a match, returning home to their exotic Muslim wives and a nice curry is perhaps not going to go down too well.

I'll need reassuring that there are enough sick bags on board if I fly Virgin Atlantic.

I find it jarring if there's an advert with only white people of biological gender and no disabilities in it now. Have you watched 'Masterchef' lately? I find it jarring if an episode contains ONE such person.

They cry when they win, they cry when they lose, they cry when they get praised, they cry when criticised. f***ing hell, getting kicked in the balls is a reason to cry, not being told your dessert is banal.
