If fit, Olise starts for me in front of Eze, every day of the week.

In fairness to Eze, he improved as the game went on. Some excellent passes and bits of skill in the second half. He looked like he was perhaps one of maybe, Wilf, Gallagher and then Olise who could produce the quality to create a goal. Our final ball was only decent maybe 3 times out of 33. We should have scored more than one with how much we were pressing, crossing and winning wide free kicks.
I've already said: any of those wide free kicks should have been dangerous, it's a football basic. We had at least 5 good ones, got nothing. It's not worth the fouls Wilf gets if we then are so sh1t at set pieces. Imagine if we were any good. Wilf and Ayew both right up there for fouls against. They were no 1 and 2? It's driving me mad recently.

Olise is. Ringing a more attacking attitude than EZE at the moment.Possibly EZE is not so confident as yet but needs to get it in last few games

I was quite disappointed with Eze last night, and I didn't want to be. I thought he was a fantastic player before he got injured, but he looks like something's not right, and I'm not sure it's lack of fitness. He looks like he's holding back, perhaps afraid of getting injured again. I really hope he gets back to what he was.

As for Olise, he will be a top, top player in the future, but it may not be with us. I can see him playing at the very top level.

Judge Eze ten games into next season not after two matches sitting on the bench for six

You're talking about fitness, which I addressed. You probably don't see on the telly what people see when they actually go.

Not this season. Gallagher is our attacking centre mid and has proven to be one of the league's best in this position. If Gallagher was ours permanently, he owns that spot. Eze doesn't get a look in for me. Putting CG in a defensive mid position nullifies his impact, as we've seen. But given we'll probably lose him next season, Eze has the chance to make that spot his own. I do worry he's a luxury...probably needs to up his work rate and pressing game to suit PV style...but he's a talented kid for sure.

I know what you mean about Eze. I so want him to do well, he's a lovely guy as well as being a real talent.

He had some good moments against Leeds. Gradually I think we will see him back to his best, but I think he needs a proper pre season before he gets back to the level he's capable of.

How can anyone complain with a trio like this in our team? Just enjoy the ride.

Their progress as players will be determined solely by their desire. If Eze and Olize dedicate themselves to building their stamina (and Olise his strength), there's no reason to think that better, more sustained, effort will follow. Surely when they watch video, they must see the differences between themselves and the likes of MacArthur, Gallagher, and Ayew.

Wilf used to be indifferent defensively, but under PV he has pressed and tracked back all over the pitch. The Leeds match was one of his best ever in this regard.

Good Post, its about personal application. you cant give someone what Eze, Wilf and Olise have but you can give them what Ayew, McArthur and Gallagher have.
