The best we can hope for is another year on loan. Mitchell is my POTS so would hate to see him leave. A swap for Conor... glad that's not my call. In terms of LB, Hannan possibly there too as back up / alternative option? Seems to have fallen behind the pecking at U23.

Also i think that good as Gallagher is now , how many years can he play with the same tenacity that he plays with now . Not many without injuries imo. On another note there will be money there with the departure of Benteke , Luka , Jario, Ward and Cline and if roumors are to be heard Zaha , now i know we will need replacments but It might just free up money to put in a good bid for Conor and keep both . Fingers crossed .

I can’t see Gallagher joining us. If we had to lose a player and Newcastle are willing to pay £45m for Eze, I would certainly take that.

What do you think? I think that is a top post Croydon Trucker. Very well considered. However, as we all know, its all speculation. One other possibility would be either H&B stay and lend more or we get another investor with equally deep pockets to replace them. Make Conor and Chelsea an offer they would accept, even if that included a player exchange. Bottom line is, we all love Conor and all want him to stay. May our dreams come true. No one leaves, Conor signs.

It is quite likely that some of Chelsea's existing squad of midfielders will be sold and others will be benched in favour of Gallagher. Also don't forget that Chelsea are likely to be playing in Europe next season which is always a huge draw for a player Edited by Midlands Eagle (06 Apr 2022 2.09pm)

Chelsea is in his and his family’s DNA, I can only seeing him returning to Chelsea at the end of the season. IF Chelsea were prepared to let him go a lot of clubs with bigger wallets than us would be queuing up to sign him. Don’t get me wrong, I would dearly love Palace sign him, but sadly just can’t see it happening. Think we all should be grateful for his contribution this season and at the last home game give him one hell of a send off with banners and thanks that brings him too tears..

This is a good read BUT there's a ton of speculation (not fact) here. Some points. Originally posted by Croydon-Trucker
will Gallagher relish life fighting Mount, Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek, Gilmour, possibly Saul and maybe others Kante will likely leave this summer. Loftus Cheek and Gilmour may well be sold and if not will be no more than part-time players. So the competition at Chelsea is, while stiff, not quite as stiff as this makes out. Two things are certain. Whether or not the Americans sell their Palace shares to buy Chelsea, the terms of these loans won’t be friendly – and repayment in full will be required sooner or later. And the writer knows this how? In short, not only does he NOT know it but, while Gallagher will be expensive and the Amerians have been shrewd if not miserly in their support for Palace to date, their pockets ARE quite deep enough to fund the purchase. And given they are nothing if not shrewd investors, it's just possible this might be one of those times they do loosen the purse strings. Because they'll realise it's worth it. Who has 40m to invest? Stepping forward to buy Palace shares, John Textor has been a willing new investor. Actually, Textor is no Harris or Blitzer. He's a millionaire. They're billionaires. He doesn't have £40m to invest in the way Harris and Blitzer do, but he's prepared to use leverage to do it. Originally posted by Croydon-Trucker
Nathan Ferguson should soon be fit again If you believe that then you must believe signing Gallagher permanently is a done deal. Originally posted by Croydon-Trucker
What About A STraight Swap With Chelsea – They Get Mitchell, We Get Gallagher? Would anyone not do that in twenty seconds flat? Two reasons: 1. Adaramola, Tayo. 2. Mitchell is a brilliant player. Connor is an impact player. Far harder to find the second than the first.

The only hope we have is that because Chelsea do not NEED him , after all they have won loads without him being anywhere near the place , they may take the value out of the player that he has created performing at Palace. The fact that he loves Chelsea means nothing to Chelsea or their owners or manager. Their only concern is creating wealth and success and if they see Gallagher creating success on the field they will take him back but if they see him as a means of enhancing their wealth they sell him.
