I supported Elgin from the get go of that site because I was pleased to see someone standing up to the BBS clique in a practical way.

Unfortunately, despite Elgin's claims that he wanted a balanced forum with unbiased moderation, it soon became clear that he favoured the loopy left posters on there and welcomed people with views further to the right begrudgingly. He was also obsessed with his spat with the BBS clique.

The final straw was his defence of Russia after the invasion. That was foolish if you want to promote a website.
He also allowed Nick Gusset back on the site after he had tried very hard to get the site closed after his initial ban.

Sound familiar?

That was the final insult for most of the remaining few posters.

I wish Elgin luck, but he is his own worst enemy in my opinion.

Sorry, been out of the loop too long, why was Gusset banned from BBS? I remember he caused a stink when he left HOL but that was a long time ago!

I met elgin a couple of times, he's a nice bloke.

Sadly, the Ukrainian situation resulted in a completely one sided blinkered view point which I could not countenance. So I decided to leave shortly before it closed.

Sad way to end as the site had promise.

I was also disappointed because I won the fantasy football league, having been 200 points adrift, and won the head to head as well. Still thus is life.
