We have been pretty luck this season with injuries, or lack of them. It would be a shame if the climax to our season was spoiled by missing key players, Fingers crossed ....

It certainly is according to the previous thread on the same topic Well, why don't you merge this with the other thread which I unforgivably overlooked, instead of yet another tiresome sarcastic comment?

Interesting piece of journalism by Sky there: Ivory coast lost to France 2-1, they didnt win. Let's hope their assessment of his injury is likewise incorrect. Originally posted by Qwijibo
I don't like this "6 weeks, two months" reference from Sky
Zaha missed Ivory Coast's 3-0 defeat to England at Wembley on Tuesday night and after the game head coach Patrice Beaumelle revealed he felt some pain after Friday's 2-1 win over France. Beaumelle said: "After the first game he felt some pain in his hamstring. He had a scan - grade 1 or 2 on the hamstring and it was not necessary to give any risk. "For him it was a dream to play England, with Ivory Coast in London. This is football. I have to understand the players have a busy schedule. If his hamstring gets bad it’s six weeks, two months. Today I released him to have some physio with his club. I asked him to come and watch with the team. He was so sad he couldn’t play."

Tomorrow a nothing game really for us. No point risking them if they are not fully fit. We need them for 2 weeks time

I thought PV was a tad evasive in his presser saying they were both in the treatment room. Being an eternal optimist I'm reading that as "They'll both be out of the treatment room by Monday night"
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
