When Neil Warnock was made manager first time he got rid of Leon Cort because he WASN’T picking up yellow or red cards.

He expected his centre backs to kick opponents up in the air, if he was picking up cards he wasn’t doing his job.

I also heard that Warnock was not too keen on him as he rarely got booked and he was averse to such centre-halves !
In the last 90 games of his career, spread over 5 seasons, Cort collected 4 yellows and a solitary red.
It was Peter Taylor who signed Cort for us from Hull.Taylor had signed him for Hull on a Free from Southend.
