It's really, really sad, to be honest. The thing is, masculinity/femininity is a spectrum, right? I.e a boy can enjoy dressing up and playing with dolls more than your average boy. Just like a girl can enjoy playing with cars and kicking a ball around. It doesn't mean she's a boy in a girl's body.

I'm really concerned that we're starting to tell kids as young as 6/7 they can choose their sex. They cannot. In no way. Maybe if we started telling them it's okay to be a boy who likes playing with dolls, we'd have a less confused and messed up world.

For every girl/boy who genuinely feels they're in the wrong body (and should be sympathised with)...there's 10 who've now just been giving the option and seek the kudos and hero-status that now comes with transitioning. It's really sad.
