Whilst I completely agree that this kind of nonsense detracts from the many worthwhile efforts to improve diversity and inclusion, if you really "don't give a f**k" why bother about it? Those who do it want a reaction, so don't give them one, and this type of thing will just fade away again. There are bigger problems in the world to worry about.

It won't go away - millions, even billions, will be wasted on it and also much time will be wasted on it. This is the diversity industry at work. There will be grants for all the luvvies but absolutely nothing solid and practical for the youth actually growing up in any of these areas: just soundbytes.

It's all rather predictable when areas fill up with the progeny of Caribbean immigrants and then those wishing to gain influence start on about slavery,

It's almost comedic. When will people laugh this crap out of town?

If they don't, it will be a clear indication of where this country will be in a few decades.

It is PC gone mad. Who really gives a f**k honestly. Tulse Hill is not a celebration of anything, it's just some gaffe in South London. Let's start researching the name origins of everywhere and deciding what people are happy with? Apparently, Norwood was named after some bloke who once ate his dessert with a soup spoon, let's rename that. Bo**ocks.

They keep using words like celebration don't they....apparently everything has to be celebrated....f***ing weirdos.

However, I look at the people who propose for these name changes and what their politics are. It's a 'no' from me, not that what I think makes a hill of beans difference.

They will win though, essentially it's the relentless anti white/British destruction of our history and traditions by the far left.

This isn't stopping here, this will be regional and cover far more than names. It's just a matter of the passage of time. Anyone surprised by this had their heads buried deep in the sand.

Demographics are destiny.

the residents of Baltimore, Co Cork had better go to Morocco with a petition.

Seek an apology from the Barbery Pirates who enslaved their relatives in 1631.

They don't care about what the actual truth of history was. The Arab slave trade was bigger and much longer lasting than anything the west did ...but look at how that plays out in societies.

It was only ever a tactic.

Just to add, the slavery still goes on unofficially in Arab countries....The combined efforts of Obama/Blair and others managed to increase it considerably in Libya for example....what is is now? Sir Tony Blair? Knight of the realm? Obama still with his Nobel peace prize....Shows you how the great and the good really think doesn't it.

Yes, I'd say that this one can safety be filed under 'PC gone mad'. Many aspects of history don't exactly smell of roses. By all means acknowledge them, but not selectively and if you blot it out, even that opportunity is lost. Time moves on and acknowledgement of an areas name is clearly far removed from applauding a slave owner. For most the family are long forgotten, kicking up a stink now is activist nonsense. It's a pointless gesture that will just rile people up, rather than address anything that needs attention or benefits anyone.

You would think that the Socialist Workers Paradise of Lambeth might have other things to worry about but apparently not.
