Haha! Me too. Glad I wasn't the only one.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I think you'll find that his standing leg is entirely intentional. He's always had it, in fact he wad probably born with it.

To my ageing eyes,Olise hit the ball against his standing leg which of course was unintentional.

All great players do weird things like that. Intentional or unintentional, we will never know. Certainly not in Olise's case, because firstly he never reacts on the pitch and secondly his post match interviews which offer zero information are the most refreshing thing to come into our modern day stereotype sport.
Olise is a future star who has started to shine brightly this season. There is a lot more to come.

According to the report in The Times: "Zaha's pass eventually went through to Olise, who shot against his own leg, the ball lopping onto the post for Zaha to react first and fire home."
But I reckon Reg Paddock has it right and the Times is wrong. Olise is making a habit of curling in these shots aimed at the far post
(watching on TV, this one curled so much, I actually missed Wilf's goal - I'd looked away from the screen having assumed Olise's shot had gone well wide).

Not alone there mate.

Eyesight is terrible these days so I thought he'd skied it! Heard commentator say "Oh it's off the post!" or something, and immediately turned back expecting a goal kick to of taken place thinking 'What's off the post?' then, jubilation

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Watching it live I thought it had dropped over the bar and I had lost sight of the ball completely. I thought he had miss hit it and should have driven it into the near post area. I missed Wilf's follow up completely so was staggered when the goal was given.

Watching the replay, which I have now done several times, and freezing it to understand what happened, this was no fluke at all. He could see Pickford off his line ready to block a shot so he curled it over and down. It was skill.

He did something in the second half where I asked the same question. He tracked back, won the ball just in front of Nath Clyne, by heading it onto the back of the opposition player in front of him. It rebounded off the players back, and Olise had full control of the ball.

I wondered did he just do that on purpose? If he did, then it was Ronaldinho level of skill!

Well we all seem to have missed the goal, including the entire Everton defense. Why don't we all just agree that the boy is something else and if we can't work out what he did it's because what he did can't be worked out?

Don't worry, it wasn't our eyesight!

It wasn't helped by the fact that the cameras had started to pan away from the goal, as they also thought he had skyed it and were focussing in for the goal kick....... they never actually showed Wilf's follow up on the running camera, it just about caught the ball in the net.

It was only on the shots from a different angle that you could truly see what happened,

glad I wasn't the only one that did this. It took a really peculiar bend and I was chatting to my son and turned back to him to finish the conversation and then somehow it was in the net.

He made a similar body shape just before than and ballooned it into row Z, so I do think he's been trying to bend them top corner. Only a matter of time before one flies in.

I got a good sight of the goal whilst seated at the match and my immediate thought was that Zaha might have been offside but I note from the TV footage that the No 22 running back towards his goal played Zaha onside.

Exactly as he took that shot my stream cut out. I had presumed it had gone well over - as that what it looked like. I only just watched the highlights from the recording of MOTD2 with my son and saw the goal from the rebound. It really was deceiving to the eye. I should think it was mis-hit somewhat but Olise is a very skillful player. If he continues, could be one of our best ever. Fingers crossed. Next Zaha, only better?
