I have to admit I agree there. The characters themselves are very good IMO however you do get that feeling of once you've seen one episode, you've seen them all.

Perhaps I was over-exuberant in my opinion of it giving my viewing hiatus of about a decade but still miffed at some societal dictate to remove it from our consciousness!

I think that was it, good characters from Lucas and Walliams, but a one off episode would’ve sort of covered it. A bit like ‘come fly with me’

No surprising little britains been edited, if the bbc can cut only fools and horses to ribbons because of comments to denzil and Indian characters then they can cut anything

I'm waiting for the Beeb to put Till Death Us Do Part on iPlayer. S'pose there wouldn't be much left after they edited out all the funny bits.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Each episode would be 5 minutes long

I know it’s considered not funny and offensive now, but at the time, it was genius giving him a gay black home help

The left use to mock Mary Whitehouse.

Then they became Mary Whitehouse.

The problem is that irony is no longer permitted, even though it, together with gallows humour and acid dry sarcasm, form the base of our humour.

If one irony by-pass idiot elects to be offended, out it goes.

On a pedantic note, was not the gay black home help "In Sickness and in Health?"

Yes.

You're also right that it's a bit of a pedantic point being that it was just a continuation of that character's story.

Apparently the BBC ended it for politically correct reasons even though it was popular and the writer wanted to continue.

Yes I think you’re right, all I remember is it was the 1980’s version.

Strangely the fella that played the gay black character is now a fireman in Chicago Fire, which is hard to get my head around, just shows what a good actor he is

I'm not sure it's that unlikely, I mean the actor who played Frank Spencer is now the Syrian President.

He was also in Oz in a part which was very different to Marigold.
