It is frustrating to continue to see fouls given to our players when they even weren't near the player claiming a foul and yes, it is obvious to me also that the refs favor the "big" teams when deciding who gets the foul. They turn a blind eye to obvious fouls and it infuriates me. I think I figured it out, CP doesn't "pay" enough into the refs retirement funds. I feel an appeal should be made against the yellow card to Gallagher as it clearly was NOT a foul, especially when their player was allowed to KICK one of our players on the ground without a warning or yellow card! Where is the sense of fair play here? Unfortunately, appeals against a Yellow card are not permitted.

One of the main reasons that City have such high possession is that as soon as they give the ball away they persitentlty foul. The knob that is Atkinson did nothing to stamp it out last night, and then booked Connor Gallagher for something that clerly was not a foul. Liverpool persistently foul too. Everyone bangs on about them being great teams, but defensively they are both suspect. Would like to see the Premier League clamp down on teams unlawfully trying to break up play. Also glad to see Pep getting his knickers in a twist about time wasting. I can remember watching City spending the last 10 minutes feigning injury and rolling on the floor when only 1-0 up. Nice to see Kevin de Bruyne near to tears at the final whistle. Not quite sure, how you havent noticed all the top teams work hard to get the ball back asap, that includes fouling, its gone on as long as I can remember. Its nothing new.

During Kompany's last season he regularly brought players down who were heading for goal, whilst making sure he wasn't the last man. Taking one for the team? It's cheating, simple as that.

Gallagher yellow card was a nonsense and can't be appealed
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

If the rules are slanted in a way where - a) Committing a foul before the opponent crosses the halfway line b) defender committing a foul when the opponent is attacking making sure that the defender who commits the foul isnt the last man,
I dont know whether you can call it cheating or just applying the rules to the best advantage (or least disadvantage) whichever way you look at it.

This table appeared in The Times on Monday. I take issue with the heading - 'Most Fouls Won' should surely read: 'Most Times Fouled'. Anyway, 3 Palace players are in the top 5 of the 'Most Fouled' players in the Premier League this season, and Palace is the only club to have more than 1 player in the 'Most Fouled' top 11. What is going on? Attachment: 16481118130184902317803599534953.jpg (4,765.31Kb)
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

What is going on? Wilf and Jordan both like to hold on to the ball, often for too long, bating the fouls.
