Our one hope is that Man City take risks playing really high up the pitch leaving the potential for the counter-attack. With Wilf and Olise in form we could at least test them, but it is really hard to see beyond a Man City win. I expect a valiant 0-2 defeat with Man City using tactical fouls that go unpunished for most of the game.

City are not infallible. They run hot and just occasionally cold.
Which is why Liverpool are now so close.

So I'm going for a close Palace win. They won me £400 earlier at city, hoping they top it up to over £500 this time!

COYP!!!

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

That's putting it mildly! Since we beat them in October last year they have dropped points in just two PL games, a draw against Saints and the narrow defeat against Spuds. Liverpool are running them close because they've won the last nine PL games on the trot.

They are the best team in the league right now. We also blow hot and cold, but usually only manage a good 45 mins against their 90.

I'd love to get a point, but if we keep it below a losing 2 goal difference we've done well. I'll enjoy the football on show and not worry about the result. COYP!

2-4 with Wilf and Gallagher scoring for us

They'll foul Wilf, Olise, and Gallagher with impunity, but at one point the ref will actually call one. We'll score on a set piece from just outside the box. Unfortunately, Citeh will score two, including a late one to deflate us 2-1.

I was one of the very few that predicted we'd win at their place. Cant be bothered to list the reasons I thought why (makes me smile that many scoffed at those reasons at the time).
I reckon confidence is high and we are in a rare position of not being involved around the bottom 5 or 6 and as such are playing without fear. I cannot see us not conceding but...If we keep the ball as well as we can do we always do better against attacking teams that hold a high line.
1 1

Liverpool are already one trophy up on City this year and are pressing them in the league. They could be getting nervous and I can't see us throwing in the towel like United. Having said that, I still don't fancy our chances

Easy to forget they had a man sent off last time. They probably won’t this time and will probably beat us 11-1 for us to win sounds about right to me.

1-3 City

They may have more injuries than us. I'm pretty sure de Bruyne is carrying a knock. We may also have a fresher squad with their schedule. That seemed to be a factor last time.
Doing the double over them would be fantastic but I suspect they want revenge. It should be easy to call a win for them but we're not bad on current form.
Ref controversy for a win for them, but not a thrashing by any means

They are injury blighted for sure. There's plenty of firepower available for them in attack but their defence is at close to bare bones level. If there is a good time to play them it is around CL and international break time as that is when Pep is most inclined to rotate.

Interestingly they are most pushed wide in defence especially if Cancelo is out. Still a mighty mighty team.

Watching them against Sporting I am now confident we can reduce them to only scoring 4 . We in turn could well get two . COYP
