Very odd team selection. Why change a winning formula so much?

I hope Vieira hasn’t turned into “ everyone gets a chance merchant…” This ain’t primary school.

Milo and Schlupp?????

Bizarre line up. Doesnt PV know that Burnleys strength is set pieces so he takes out Mateta and Kouyate who can help the situation. We only have two players in the entire line up who can head a ball. We are basically inviting Burnley to beat us

They havent helped at opposition set pieces all season, what makes you think they would change that today. Mateta didnt jump at the Watford corner, he could of headed or put their player off.

Didn’t see that coming! Still trying to work it out - the striking concern is the lack of height up front , but if this is an indication that we’ll be playing quick passes into the feet of our forwards and looking to exploit the Burnley defenders lack of mobility then it might just make sense?

In Olise, Shlupp Wilf we have plenty of pace!

Vieira must be confident we can either deal with or avoid conceding set pieces.
It seems to a team based on pace and keeping the ball on the ground.
I hope what seems to be a gamble works.

No need to push the panic button yet - game has not even started.

Lack of height does seem a concern, but in Pat we trust.

Could be a high scoring game!

It seems that PV uses the aid of a random generator for selecting the starting 11s. Hopefully this doesn't surprise our squad more than the opposition.

Puzzled why PV would change the midfield. So dominate in midweek. No recognized CF either, strange.

Pace?

I wouldn’t call old boys Milo and McArthur pacey. Have you been on the sauce? 😄

Burnley are a big physical team they will try and bully us. That is why Luka is there.

I would of expected Benteke at least to start even if it was only for defensive type plays.

PV must be thinking we are poor first half hold out and second we go on the attack with multi subs if this is not his thinking he has lost the plot again not playing a proper striker even Ayew would of been a option he wins fouls and holds up play.

It makes sense to rotate the squad due to the midweek game.

Burnley don’t have such a luxury as us, so while set pieces will be a factor for them, we should come on strong as the second half progresses.
