Agreed , everyone who wanted hodgson out etc to play more “expansive” football will soon realise like all charlton fans , Fulham , Norwich Portsmouth that it’s just not possible without a huge budget , we can’t score can’t defend and can’t see out a game , I havnt been this frustrated with a palace team in all my 33 years

This has to be a joke right?

Wow really?? You can't of watched Palace much in the last 33 years if this season is the most frustrated you've ever been!

I think there's some massive overreacting going on... Are people forgetting that our squad has just been left to rot in the last few seasons??...
A massive transition was required and it will take time to rebuild this squad and play a new style of football.

Yes results haven't gone our way lately and performances a bit up and down but I personally don't think we will be in any danger of going down and will continue to build and grow.

The biggest concern for me is the number of late goals we concede. It's not bad luck it's clearly a concentration/inexperience issue with regard to not seeing games out and it's that, that needs addressing immediately.

100% spot on from me as well. With a new gaffer staff and the massive turn over of players I feared for us this season, but it’s gone far better than I thought. Yes we’re struggling for a win at the moment and we’re slowly dropping nearer the bottom 3, but the fact that we’re nowhere near being cut adrift at the bottom, which I feared, especially after the first game against Chelsea, is a result for me.
Yes we let in too many late goals and desperately need a win now, but things had to change last summer and I still think they have for the better. The games are so much more enjoyable and we at least try to go forward

Starting to get a bit fed up with Pat now. Today was bloody negative. His general tinkering and bizarre subs are starting to grate. Despite all the praise heaped on him, we have only won 1 game in about 10 games i think. Thats relegation form. Talk is cheap now, we have a huge week coming up with these 2 games against Watford and Burnley

Really? ..thought Chelsea were the negative ones by fouling us every single time we got the better of them.

West Ham who are fifth have lost eight games all season, do you know how many we've lost?

Two wins in fourteen from mainly mid table opponents and some very tepid performances is good reason to be concerned and will have any board looking at the manager.

Todays performance wasn't bad but Chelsea weren't really at it and we still chucked it away despite being saved by VAR.

Inability to manage the final stages of the game and make the small margins go in our favour isn't a new problem either.

I was in the Holmesdale when we got beat 4-0 at home to scunthorpe then 3-0 at home to Doncaster same season

I was at selhurst for my first game against Oxford when Chris Armstrong and Simon roger scored and we won 2-1 and proceeded to get promoted the same season, I was then in the Arthur the next season when we lost 6-1 against Liverpool at the age of 6 in our first game that season

I was at charlton when we drew 2-2 and got relegated and yes I still agree this is the most frustrating side I have ever seen as a palace team because we can’t win I don’t expect us to win and when we are drawing in last 5 mins I expect us to lose

My opinion , anyone else wants a pop at my loyalty or whatever I won’t come on this site no more

Chill out brother... Don't do a flounce!! I just find it hard to believe that this is the most frustrating season you've experienced in the last 33 years!!

Why people get so worked up about what complete strangers say on the Internet is beyond me but you don't need to leave the site!!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I love Swordfish. Really tasty. Had it in Sainsbury’s last year but stopped it.

My take is a lot of us wanted to movement to a new way of playing, I did. I am more than prepared to give Vieira some slack here. Start of the season we would have just been happy to stay up. PV has got the players to buy into ‘his way’ very quickly which he has to be given credit for. We had a period around the time of the wolves win where we had a glimpse of what this team could be. We were exciting, pressing high and on the front foot. it’s a different type of frustration this season to previous ones with Roy as we should be doing better with the players Pat has at his disposal. The best squad we’ve had in the premier league imo. It’s becoming very tedious not being able to see games out, however let’s not forget we suffered this with Roy too. It seems Pat doesn’t know how to fit all the players in, a great problem to have. There’s good signs of what palace could be, I think we’ll see incoming and outgoings in the summer. We just need to make sure we stay up, which I think we will but we do need some wins. Next two games will be a good sign of the character of this team. 5 wins all season is poor. Bottom line is if we want change we’ve got to hold our nerves with the bumps in the road this season.

We're 0-3-3 in 2022 in the league. 3 points from 6 games is relegation pace.

We said a couple weeks ago how we needed at least 4 points from Norwich and Brentford. We played poorly and ended up with 2 draws. Now we're saying the same about Watford and Burnley. I'm at the point where I don't think we can beat anyone.

3 games against West Ham, Liverpool and Chelsea, put some perspective on these stats

And a further three against Brighton, Brentford and Norwich. West Ham aren't Champions League yet.

It's those stats that made today's late show a bigger problem IMO.

Seriously ? That in itself is part of the problem. One away win all all season in a total turn up against City.

We didn't beat Brentford or Brighton at home either,
