Thanks Doombear. I noticed (probably happened previously) that the 10th and 11th players for us were Gordon, Banks.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

FT 1-4

Forgot to put subs down . . .

Killian Phillips for David Boateng 64th min
Victor Akinwale for Scott Banks 74th min
David Omilabu for John-Kymani Gordon 83rd min

Here's the match report . . . [Link]

An added bonus is you don't get the PL VAR insanities ruining the games.

Another fine win for us well done.

Good performance against a good Spurs team who are above us in the table and like us they score lots of goals (it was a 4-3 thriller to us in the home game). We did well to keep them to just the one goal this time.

It's very rare to have the ability to get a ball up and over a wall so close with enough dip, such as Banks has.

The second was actually taken just inside the penalty area and came back off the inside of the bar.

The sort of thing you could use in a PL match, especially as a sub specialising in set-pieces.

Our set-pieces are nothing special normally?

Brilliant win and a great Banks goal. Under 18s beat them 4-2 as well. Our youngsters really are a promising bunch.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I agree, he certainly has a skill with free kicks. The new Ward-Prowse without the nasty streak?

Been trying to think who the last really decent free-kick taker was & the only one who springs to mind is Andy Gray. I don't count Luka as most of his were penalties.

Puncheon was pretty useful at times over a dead ball. Going back to the under 18's ( and bearing in mind it is a long way from the premier league ) but i have been impressed with both Ademola Ola-Adebomi but particularly Jaydan Raymond based on the highlights this season. They both look to have potential to turn pro.

Luka has a decent free kick on him...scored a few.

U18 - big lad who got the hat trick looked a handful. Actually liked him pushing the Spurs boy away after the first goal.

U23 - Banks’ free kicks are incredible. I did not see him play for the first team earlier in the year but someone said he looked miles off….is that fair?

Always a big jump to first team but looks like there are some that could make it.
