Not confident of getting anything from this or the next match. We haven’t looked that good in recent times with the midfield being weak. Especially with Schlupp in the middle. Gallagher also not playing as good as he was as well? Needs Kouyate back and Gallagher and Hughes alongside. And Macca back soon hopefully? Was expecting to see Zaha against Hartlepool but wasn’t in the squad? With Norwich picking up, I’m expecting a 2.0 defeat. Hope I’m wrong and we get a win as we could get pulled down the table with new managers in for those below us :-( Says he and Tomkins are training and may be available against Norwich, maybe bench and start against Brentford
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

With Olise getting better every game, Eze slowly finding his way back and McArthur and Zaha set to return to the first-team squad I think we have every reason to be optimistic despite Norwich's run. Despite Norwich's recent good form I think they will come back down with a bump and we'll win 2-0. I ask for the right to amend my forecast if Schlupp and Luka start in central midfield again though!

Could be an interesting game. Will PV stick with the recent line ups or integrate our injury and Afcon returnees? Nice to have options though. Narrow win for Palace away.

For me this is definitely a must win match. We are slipping down the table and Norwich are a team that, a few weeks ago, most of us would have expected us to beat easily. Certainly Dean Smith's team have shown an improvement recently with wins over Everton and Watford in the league and knocking Wolves out of the Cup on Saturday, but, with a strong squad available we have the talent to win on Wednesday...... narrowly. A few weeks ago, we DID beat them easily.

Why should he walk back into the team? His recent performances have not been good so he should earn the right. It might help his poor attitude to sit a couple of games out. Not saying he should walk back in. Far from it. Simply saying that PV said he wasn't ready (implying that he wasn't match fit) which would be odd seeing as he came straight from a tournament.

For me it's a 1-1 with both teams wanting three points but neither wanting a defeat. Olise looks good, Eze hopefully back to his previous form and I just hope that we are back to where we were when the bells chimed.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

I predict we will move the ball very slowly, with the odd pass through the lines rewarded by someone putting their foot on the ball and passing it backwards again. I predict we will give Norwich plenty of time to drop off, organise and get in shape when we get the ball - and start moving it slowly. I predict we will struggle to defend set pieces and probably give away a first half goal. I predict we will play better in the 2nd half, more positive because we are chasing the game, and will bring Benteke off the bench in the mistaken belief that he is a top striker. Might nick an equaliser. I cannot see us winning this one I am afraid. Christ! If this bloke is a supporter I'd hate to hear from someone who hates Palace!

I think Norwich's need for points will bring an urgency and almost panic like pace about them to start with. If we keep the ball as well as we all know we can under PV and frustrate them for half an hour I feel sure Norwich will become tired and mistakes will start.

Palace to win this - but will be a good game. Viera has so many options available to him with regards to the team selection. This is exciting to actually think we now have a team that does ‘not’ pick itself, and those who work hard on and off the field are rewarded with a starting place. Exactly how it should be…
