Amazing talent - but does not seem to like being interviewed by the TV crews. Always looking somewhere else, other things going on…even when he scored on Saturday….never really smiles…Clearly, he sets himself incredibly high standards. In my opinion, now a different class to Zaha - almost 10 years younger than him and has that raw talent…takes players on, beats them easily and scores…

He's top class and £8m was an absolute steal. When we eventually come to sell him it will be for many times more than that. His end product is what sets him apart from Wilf at that age. 4 goals and 5 assists in 660 minutes of football for us this season is a goal contribution every 73 minutes. Keep that up over a season and you're in the world class bracket. Assuming his game and our team get even better with time, then all the biggest clubs will be in for him in a couple of seasons.

I suspect we might have a few interested clubs in the summer. Fully expect him to be a £50m player in the next couple of years.

Obviously he has great potential, but there have been a few starters for him where he's been fairly anonymous. Looks like he needs a bit of room to operate fully and this is one area where he'll have to adapt to players doubling up on him and such like.

I don't mean that as a negative but by all accounts he very much marches to his own drummer and isn't one to run with the crowd. That sort of personality needs to be nurtured and carefully managed to get the best out of him, which Vieira appears to be doing.

He's done well when he's been given space. Against PL defenders he has at times struggled to get past his man. I think as his confidence grows that will improve though. He also needs to improve his finishing, as despite some great stats in his limited playing time he has also spurned a lot of good chances, especially against Hartlepool when he really should have had at least a hat-trick. I'm being really picky though. If he keeps progressing at this rate the big boys will come knocking. With Gallagher, Olise, Eze, Zaha, Edouard available we should surely start winning some more games soon, hopefully starting on Wednesday.

I've just seen on the BBC Sport site that his goal on Saturday made it onto their Top Goals list. There's no doubt he is a special player and we did well to get him from Reading, but I do agree with Vince and Syd on here that he does appear surly when he's interviewed and when he scores. I'd love to know what's going on in that bright footballing head of his after he's scored. Could it simply be "Yeah right, easy peasy!"
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

I will be surprised if there aren't offers for him from bigger clubs come this or the next summer window. He has the talent and is astute enough to know there are parts to his game that need improving.

Hopefully he is astute enough to know that he will develop faster playing with us (for at least another season) rather than sitting on a top 6 bench - Originally posted by doombear

If you look at the goals he's scored for us, Saturday was against a lot lower opposition so no need to celebrate too hard but overall he's scored goals in the PL when we've been behind, so it's been 'grab the ball, lets go again' type celebration. If you want to see passion from him, take a look at his celebration after CG scores the winner against City.
