Called the Monkey Hangars for reasons already stated. I believe their mascot was elected as Mayor. Have had numerous run-ins with Darlington fans. Life under Vieira is great. We haven’t got as many points as we should have but he is trying to play football the right way. Vieira is of the mind set ( like Mourinho) that success breeds success so seems to be taking the Cup seriously. With a bit of luck we could go all the way, knowing our luck we will meet Man Utd in the Final

1. They are by far the best team who play in blue and white striped shirts. They seem to be in a different league every season. They get more mentions on Soccer Saturday than Palace. The town has a brewery in the middle of it, a newly developed marina and is actually a decent place for a few beers. Unlike its neighbours Sunderland & Middlesbrough which are true s***holes. 2. Life under Viera is pretty good, certainly the football is decent. Ask me again at the end of May. 3. We would have won the cup this season, but we’ve got a really tough draw in the fourth round and will lose 0-4.

1. They are scared of monkeys. Goodness knows what would have happened if Bigfoot had gotten off that ship. I think there is a Marina there, but not sure if it is for boats or just an old Morris car. 2. So far so good, but it is a work in progress. 3. In recent years we have hoped to go far. This match could be a stepping stone.

1. "Monkey Hangers" - nothing wrong with that at all. You should see what continually rolls up on our Kentish beaches! 2. Vieira has been a breath of fresh air this season. He can't help if referees and linesmen need to go to Specsavers before we play Liverpool at home. 3. I'd love to go to a third FA Cup Final in my lifetime and actually win something but it's via a series of Cup games and anything could happen along the way! As fellow football supporters ... feel welcome, make yourselves at home and enjoy the game on Saturday.

"What do know about.....the draw itself?" Sorry, but this seems a pointless question (and indeed no-one appears to have attempted to answer it). Anyway, I know that the draw was carried out on TV by two lovelies, although I still haven't found out who they were, despite much internet searching . Furthermore Crystal Palace was the first team drawn and Hartlepool was the second team; ergo they will play each other at Crystal Palace's home ground.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

I think it means the outcome of the last draw and specifically the match between CPFC and Hartlepool.

The 2 that quickly come to mind would be Franz Beckenbauer & Johan Cruyff- there probably are others but I doubt if there are many Originally posted by dreamwaverider

Bobby Moore reached the pinnacle of the game by captaining a side that won the World Cup, and later became a manager. Not a very good manager, but still a manager. Didier Deschamps captained his country to World Cup and European Championship, and has been a very successful manager.

1. T' north 2. Coolest manager in the league. A stunning difference in style that is well worth the many points we have dropped ... many of which were due to simple bad luck / bad reffing so that will even out. We are simmering just below our best and I feel with a few more additions and some more experience we will become something very special. Much of this is down to Vieira. 3. We could win it given the right draw and at least one, probably two "against the odds results". Result like 1990 Liverpool and Man U (not). 2016 Spurs and Man U (not). One thing for sure is we will have fun trying.
