Zero sympathy.

The guy had the world at his feet.

I wonder what brought you to that view....

At least the headline only describes him as an 'ex-Tottenham Hotspur star'. Every little helps.

With a big photo of him in a Palace kit

Thank you for explaining this. I’ve always wondered what the difference between GBH and ABH is.

You're welcome. To put it into context using a story in the news today, one of the men who accosted Chris Whitty in St James's Park last June admitted a charge of 'assault by beating', for having held the prof. in a "loose headlock". (Today's news story is about the other fella though).

For anyone who didn't see Armstrong play for us, he really was extremely special. For a couple of years he was almost unplayable - lighting quick, could dribble, had a rocket of a shot in either foot, and brilliant at diving headers (when was the last time you saw one of those, by the way?!).

Quite possibly the most complete centre forward I've ever seen in a Palace shirt. I shudder to think what he'd be worth in today's market.

And now he's swinging for a bloke who works in a supermarket because he can't buy fags. Jesus.

Great player for us able to create his own chances went to Spurs and I think his first season was good but then he got injured and it ruined his career.

Sad that like a lot of players his life seems to have spiralled a bit this is not his first brush with the law.

I hope he gets it together.
