Good move for him. Although I didn't think he was anywhere near good enough to progress with Palace, he will now get a chance to play first team football. Sometimes you have to take a step backwards before taking two forwards...I wish him well.

Got a chance to make it in the men’s game. Fair play to him, I wish him well.

He's on the bench for Accrington (and Obrien's started for Swindon again)

As far I cannot remember hardly any players we let go went onto bigger and better things apart from Stan Collymore. Ian Wright and Kenny Samson forced their moves out of the club. Any suggestions? Remember this is about the club not caring if a player left not a player forcing a move to a bigger club. Edited by Badger11 (14 Jan 2022 3.50pm) Alan Devonshire did ok
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Going back a bit but we let Alan Devonshire slip through our fingers back in the 70's . Big Mal could normally spot talent in kids but missed Devonshire who went on to star for the Spammers collecting 8 England caps

I rated him as nearly our best prospect. Big, but versatile, strong and quite skillful. Anyway, best of luck to him, presumably his contract was up. Am I right in thinking he was Australian? A lot of people on here were rating Sam Woods in similar fashion only a few months ago. Woods, Hannam and Rak-Sakyi were the three names regularly being suggested from the U23’s last season as being possibles for the first team. After underwhelming loan spells at Hamilton Accies and Plymouth, Woods was released by us at the end of last season and found himself a permanent contract with Non League Barnet - And now he’s not even a guaranteed starter in their first team. It is rather interesting the level some of our ‘highly rated’ U23’s subsequently find themselves playing at.

We conceded while ahead in the 93rd minute today against Wolves. They went on to win on penalties.

Massive mistake, premier league in three years
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |
