Mitchell has been amazing for us

Hmmmm…Amazing?! I’m not sure one could describe him as amazing.

The jury’s still very much out for me. Gets beaten too easily and too often but still learning and still young so there’s time to improve.

Not many months ago, lots of posters were demanding the club got an experienced LB in after PvA left, as they thought TM was too lightweight & inexperienced . . .

'Funny Old Game'

Beats PVA into a cocked hat when it comes to defending.

Are you for real? Or just a wind up?

You write this today, after such a composed and solid performance v a team that plays 3-5-2.

What do you want from him? Never beaten in a one v one? Impossible even Ashley Cole in is prime was occasionally beaten. 100% passing? I doubt even Dennis Irwin had 100%. Goals every game? Roberto Carlos didn’t score every game. What the heck do you want!!??

Absolutely baffling how people STILL doubt this guys ability

In fact just tell me one damn player who you want and who we could get? Just one and I will understand your footballing needs and expectations from a player so young, learning a totally new way the manager wants to play, behind Wilf or Eduard who clearly do not help as much as say Ayew, etc etc etc

Hilarious.

Very much for real General and it’s not just today, I’ve written similar on a number of occasions both this season and last.

It’s not just me either because numerous posters have commented on our full back situation over the last season or two. It’s also potentially why the club have signed Ferguson and tried to sign Left Back Layvin Kurzawa from PSG on the last transfer deadline day.

Hodgson regularly doubled up on the left hand defensive third with both PVA and Schluppy deployed to provide cover for the inexperienced Mitchell.

He is improving steadily, but ‘one on one’ he still gets beaten too often and too easily. Hence for me, I still think he has a way to go before we can call him ‘Amazing’.
