I think the balancing act is quite tricky. Trying to evidence and promote equality is not going to please everybody all of the time.

I don’t particularly watch women’s football, however, it has grown significantly across the years and Sky are doing what they should; heavily promoting a sporting product that is growing alongside trying to capitalise on being a front runner in supporting that product. Similar for equality! They are heavily endorsing this in various ways that can be off putting to some and inspirational to others.

They are a corporation and tend to get the little things that matter - the nuances wrong and in this ever changing world, where I expect the target audience is completely different to 20 years ago what was funny and not scrutinised then is not so funny and scrutinised now!
