Portsmouth up next. Unfortunately the Sutton defeat will probably mean no further progress after that.

how does this cup work, I saw we lost to Sutton, but it didn't knock us out?

Group stage, I think only winners progress

Fairplay to them. Thought they might struggle like they did when they came up against Sutton in the other cup earlier in the season. Good test for them against a men's side.

I think the Wimbledon side were a mixture of first team players and U21s. Some of them certainly looked quite young and the shirt numbers were high.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

We are in a group of 4 the others being Sutton, Wimbledon and Portsmouth. The top two go though to the next stage.

In the event of a game being drawn each side gets a point, but, a penalty shoot out then takes place and the winner gets an extra point.

It said on Sky that it was our U21’s. So an even better result.

PL and Championship clubs are only allowed to use U21 players in this competition.

The current league tables make interesting reading

Well, well, that is interesting.

Apart from a couple of U21 sides the rest aren't fairing that well, be interesting to see which ones can progress, we have a good a chance as any if we see off Pompey.

The following PL U21 teams are already out of the competition:

-Man U
-Leicester
-Newcastle (no surprise ha ha)
-Southampton
Both Citeh and Liverpool are in real danger of going out too (as are the Weed).

Yeah I noticed that watching the highlights today. Plus I only just realised that this 'is' the same cup that Sutton beat us in. Didn't realise there was a group stage.

It'll be an interesting game against Pompey to see if we can progress.

How does that work? If Wimbledon also beat Sutton we will all be on 6 points and currently Palace have the worst GD
